An interesting start to the card. Champion sire Frankel has not had many runners in South Africa and we await a very good one. MADRA RUA was expected to win on debut but was a disappointment in that he only finished sixth. It was behind the decent Happy Verse and that was back in January. He returns from a break and would not be a surprise winner. HONORINE'S GIMMIE did not show much in his three starts but also returns from a break and is likely to improve. RED WAVE should like this track and distance and can go close to winning. Watch the betting on the first-timers.
